Why a learning site sends you away from it
A screen can teach a child what a word sounds like. It cannot teach them what cold water feels like, how hard to press a crayon, or what happens when soda meets vinegar. Every early-years framework we looked at — India's NCF for the Foundational Stage, the UK's EYFS, Japan's kindergarten standard, the American AAP guidance — says the same thing in different words: at this age, most learning has to happen with the hands. So this page exists to be left.
What is on this page
32 science experiments and 24 crafts, each broken into a few short steps that are read aloud in your child's own language. Nothing needs a special kit: the list is rice, a glass, an old sock, a balloon, a paper plate, some colour. Each one takes ten to twenty minutes and ends with something to talk about.
How to use them
Open an activity, read the "what you need" card together and collect the things — that is half the learning. Then press Next for each step. Ask what will happen before you start, and what happened afterwards. Do not rush to explain; a good "I don't know, what do you think?" is worth more than a correct answer.
Staying safe
A grown-up should be in the room for all of these. Nothing here uses fire, a flame, a blade a child holds, or anything hot. Small items like coins, buttons and beads are a choking risk for under-threes, so stay close and put them away afterwards. Food colour stains clothes; an old shirt saves an argument.
Science or craft?
The experiments are about noticing: guess, try, watch, say what happened. They build the habit of predicting and checking, which is what school science asks for later. The crafts are about the hands: cutting, folding, threading, sticking. They build the grip and control that a pencil needs, and they end with something the child made and can keep. Do one of each in a week and you have covered both.
