What is on this page

Seventeen A4 sheets a grown-up can print at home or at a shop: capital and small letter tracing, numbers 1 to 20, Hindi swar and vyanjan, the pre-writing strokes that come before letters, twelve colouring outlines, and six sets of cut-out flashcards with the words in both of your languages.

Why paper still matters

A screen teaches the eye and the ear; paper teaches the hand. Holding a pencil, pressing hard enough to leave a mark, staying roughly inside a line — none of that can be practised by tapping. Every early-years framework we looked at, from India's NCF-FS to the UK's EYFS and Japan's kindergarten standard, keeps drawing and mark-making as a daily activity, which is why the screen part of this site always ends with something to do off it.

Free, and free of clutter

There is no sign-up, no email, no watermark and no advert on any sheet. The page prints only the worksheet, so a single A4 page is not wasted on menus. Nothing is uploaded: the sheet is drawn inside your own browser, and once the page has loaded it prints even with the internet switched off.

Which sheet for which age

Two to three: colouring pages and the pre-writing lines. Three to four: pre-writing lines, capital letters, numbers 1 to 10, flashcards. Four to six: small letters, numbers 11 to 20, Hindi varnamala, and flashcards used as a reading game. If a sheet makes your child cross, it is the wrong sheet for today — go back one step, not forward.
